-Chatuchak Weekend Market, Thailand. Feb. 2015
Street fashion has always inspired me, in my daily life and in my work. I love to see the way other people present themselves to the world. It is so fascinating to me. Your attire and your attitude speak volumes to everyone around you, before you even open up your mouth. You get to be whoever you want to be.
Chatuchak Market, Thailand
The Chatuchak Market in Thailand is a wild place. You will find anything you can ever wish for to fulfill your needs. You can pick up a samurai sword on your way to adopt a puppy, and purchase a life-sized horse statue while eating ice cream from a coconut. Amongst the sea of artificial flowers and dog sneakers, you will find LOTS of fashion. Good, bad, quirky, strange, and some incredibly amazing fashion. Each year I make my way around the 35 acres of vendors to find hidden gems of handmade clothing and accessories. It's a full-time job of a weekend, but it's always an interesting journey complete with a lot of laughs, exciting treasures and of course, fresh coconuts. While exploring the market this year, I realized that I need to start sharing all of the great street fashion that inspires me.
Thai hipster men have a special place in my heart. Just look at this outfit. Shirt buttoned all the way up, hat, mustache, flippy round sunnies, leather man bag, clogs. Perfection.
