Two years ago, I took a trip that changed my life forever.
I was 24. It was my first trip to Asia, and it was the first time I’d ever been away from home for 6 weeks. It turned out to be an experience that has shaped my view of the world, and the way that I want to live for the rest of my life. I want to immerse myself in every culture, in every place, everywhere.
I have traveled throughout Thailand, India, and Bali for work, on the most incredible buying journeys. My trips were more fulfilling and more authentic than I could have ever imagined. On my most recent trip to Bali in October, I decided on a whim that it was time to start my own brand. WVT had been on the back burner for years, and I just felt it was the right time. I was inspired by the essense of Bali. Something in me had ignited, and the inspiration was pouring out of me. I was seeing triangles in everything. It’s amazing how quickly your perspective, and the way you look at things, can change. Literally, what I saw with my eyes had been reshaped. Instead of dusty sidewalks and foreign street signs, I began to notice triangle tiles and geometric forms of inspiration.
Starting my own line of handmade jewelry is exactly what my heart is telling me to do right now. So here I am, Carpeing that Diem.
West Village Tribe is more than just handmade jewelry and accessories. It is a brand to inspire wanderers. It is a lifestyle, a way of life.
Wander near. Wander far. Always travel vibrantly.
